MINISTRY ACTION TEAMS
This list is a work in progress. Life Church is growing and changing and with it our ministries. Expect many revisions of this list to be published as we reshape our ministry around the call of God as expressed through the unique giftedness of our people.
Ministry Action Teams
Hospitality Team
Provides biblical hospitality for all who attend our church. This includes cooking, preparing for banquets, baby and wedding showers, church luncheons, dinners, potlucks - all things involving food and fellowship in our church body.
Worship Team
Communicates the Gospel in worship through music, helping to lead us to the throne of grace.
Audio/Visual Team - Operates various computer and media technology used in our services. Works closely with the
worship teams to enhance our worship experience for the Lord.
Ushers - The ushers make people feel welcomed and comfortable and help ensure a positive
worship experience by helping services run smoothly. Additionally they take offering and count attendance.
11 Minuted Ministry Team
This team greets each and every person warmly, with a smile, and a loving attitude as they enter God’s house. This team helps those new to our church to find their way around the church, while making introductions to others who can meet their needs, such as Nursery workers, Sunday School Teachers, Pastors, etc.
Dare-To-Care
Communicates care for others through phone calls, offering to pray for people, written notes of encouragement to both long-time and new members of our congregation, and visits people in their homes to both pray and encourage, helping all of us to feel the love of Christ. This includes a special emphasis on ministering to our military community.
Nursery Action Team
Provides high-quality loving care for infants and toddlers while their parents are engaged in church-sponsored ministry and growth activities. The team is the very hands and feet of Jesus Christ to the very youngest, littlest, and most vulnerable among us.
Building and Grounds Team
Enlists the support of, and organizes the work of people gifted and passionate for the maintenance and development of our church properties.
Compassionate Ministries Team
Includes HIV/AIDS Care, Food Drives, Angel Tree, etc. This team works to encourage and equip our church to meet the felt needs of the community around us.
Prayer Team
Maintains the priority of prayer by calling our church to prayer, providing opportunities for corporate and individual prayer, and develops an intentional prayer ministry.
Children’s Ministry Team
Ministers to the hearts, minds, spirit, and physical needs of children, while introducing them to Jesus. Creatively and relevantly connects kids to Christ.
Elected Ministries Team
Sunday School/Discipleship Ministries Board
Considers and develops intentional discipleship strategies through small group studies, such as Sunday School, Bible Studies, and Small Groups, as a means of meeting our needs for spiritual growth and fellowship together.
Nazarene Missions International Council
Diligently works to educated our congregation and encourage them to support the work of the Nazarene Church around the world.
Nazarene Youth International Council
Provides opportunities for spiritual growth and fellowship for youth in grades 7-12
